About the Role
We are hiring Project Managers/Program Leads at multiple levels (I-V) based on experience and qualifications. This role is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder requirements. Responsibilities scale in complexity and leadership scope depending on the assigned level. This position is based in Mendon, Utah, with travel requirements ranging from 10-15%.
Job Duties
Managing People (Varies by Level)
- Entry-Level (I & II): Works closely with Dev Managers, Product Managers, and team members to ensure success on projects. No direct reports.
- Mid-Level (III): Provides mentorship and oversight to team members.
- Senior-Level (IV & V): Supervises project or program staff, provides guidance, and implements performance management processes.
Project Management
- Accepts responsibility for project success or failure.
- Schedules and conducts project meetings, design reviews, and post-project evaluations.
- Manages and coordinates multiple priorities to accomplish company goals.
- Ensures compliance with safety, quality, and risk mitigation strategies.
Business Development
- Identifies opportunities and assists in developing project proposals.
- Gathers preliminary customer requirements and defines project scope.
- Assesses risks and proposes technical solutions.
- Provides preliminary budgets, milestones, and invoice schedules.
- Coordinates contracts and Statements of Work (SOWs).
Project Planning
- Captures and documents customer requirements.
- Develops high-level schedules, task lists, and budgets.
- Ensures project plans address risk mitigation and quality control.
Project Execution
- Involves teams in planning processes to drive buy-in and accountability.
- Clearly communicates priorities and team responsibilities.
- Trains and mentors team members in job functions and project execution.
- Identifies assignments, schedules, milestones, budgets, and resource needs.
Project Milestones
- Defines project milestones with clear deliverables and deadlines.
- Ensures milestones follow SMARTY principles (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Right-Sized, Time-Bound, and Yours).
- Identifies and resolves root causes of missed milestones.
Requirements
- Level I: 1 years of experience in project management or a related field.
- Level II: 3-5 years of experience.
- Level III: 5 years of experience.
- Level IV: 5-7 years of experience with increasing leadership responsibilities.
- Level V: 7 years of experience with expert-level project management and technical oversight.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a technical discipline. Master's preferred for Level III - V.
- Experience with project management tools, software development lifecycle, and problem-solving.
- Demonstrated success in leading teams and managing projects.
- Preferred experience in automation or robotics.
- Travel required 10-25%, based on project needs.
