Autonomy Staffing is currently seeking a Tool & Die Maker to support our client in Denison Texas . This role involves developing constructing and modifying molds die sets jigs fixtures and gauges for die casting and progressive stamping. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background experience working within tight tolerances ( / 0.0002 ) and a commitment to precision and quality.
Key Responsibilities :
Tool & Die Making
Build dies from complex blueprints and construct jigs and fixtures based on sketches part drawings or verbal instructions.
Plan construction procedures selecting appropriate materials and methods.
Make allowances for shrinkage during heat treatment and ensure proper metal flow in dies.
Tool & Die Repair
Diagnose and repair progressive dies troubleshooting and resolving issues effectively.
Disassemble maintain and reassemble various die types and die cast molds.
Provide production support by problemsolving and building necessary tools.
Train and mentor Tool Room Apprentices and Machinists as needed.
Qualifications & Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Completed Apprenticeship Machining Technologies coursework or equivalent handson experience.
Required Skills :
Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints .
Proficiency in troubleshooting progressive carbide lamination dies and multicavity die cast molds .
Experience operating a variety of tool room equipment including :
