What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rail Prep position at Autoport Limited?

This is an entry-level position, but there is no need to stop there; within Autoport, there is ample opportunity for growth, with tenured employees of 20 years.
Our Prep team has one of the most physically demanding jobs within the facility; they are the first to prepare each railcar for the loading and unloading of vehicles. This diverse team works together to productively meet deadlines and solve problems, while adhering to workplace guidelines and safety protocol. This role will also require climbing up and down railcar ladders, opening and closing railcar doors, placing and removing chocks that secure vehicles for shipment, and the ability to lift up to 50 lb. bridge plates repeatedly throughout your shift. We require all candidates to be comfortable working in an outdoor environment year round.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Ability to push, pull, or carry up to 50lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, and work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Able to adhere to quality and safety standards
- Must be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record
