Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Assistant to join our HR team. The ideal candidate will support various HR functions. This role is essential in ensuring smooth HR operations and fostering a positive workplace culture.
Duties
- Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
- Support the onboarding process for new hires.
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with affirmative action planning and human resources management policies.
- Assist in ensuring that the Company is in compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement as it pertains to employee issues.
- Facilitate employee relations by addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with HR team members on change management initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Utilize software systems such as Kinetics for data entry and reporting purposes.
- Participate in the development and implementation of HR programs and policies that align with company goals.
- Assist with performance management processes and employee engagement activities.
- Assist tracking, entry, calculating and prep of hourly payroll. Maintain absenteeism records.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in human resources or administrative support is preferred.
- Familiarity with HR software systems (Kinetics, Paycom) is a plus.
- Understanding of human resources principles, practices, and employment laws.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
