Automotive Logistics Coordinator / Dispatcher
Job Summary:
The Automotive Logistics Coordinator / Dispatcher is responsible for managing the efficient transportation and tracking of vehicles across various locations. This role involves coordinating with transport drivers, vendors, dealerships, and internal departments to ensure timely vehicle pickups and deliveries. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced, logistics-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Schedule, dispatch, and coordinate vehicle transport to and from auctions, dealerships, body shops, and customer locations.

Assign loads to internal drivers or third-party carriers based on availability, proximity, and capacity.

Track and monitor vehicle movement to ensure timely and safe delivery.

Communicate with drivers to provide necessary instructions and resolve any issues during transit.

Maintain accurate records of vehicle pickups, deliveries, and transport logs in company systems.

Collaborate with sales, service, and inventory teams to prioritize vehicle moves.

Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company transportation policies.

Handle transport-related billing, damage claims, and vendor communications.

Optimize routes and loads to reduce costs and increase efficiency.

Provide regular updates to management regarding transport schedules, delays, or issues.
Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

1–3 years of experience in automotive logistics, dispatch, or fleet coordination preferred.

Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) and logistics software.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Working knowledge of DOT regulations and vehicle transport procedures.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and data entry.
Preferred Skills:

Experience working with dealerships, auctions, or fleet management companies.

Familiarity with platforms like Central Dispatch, Super Dispatch, or equivalent.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Compensation:

Starting at $19 per hour
