Vehicle Service Contract Claims Specialist
The AutoXcel Corporation is a vehicle service contract provider. The Company's business has expanded into mechanical VSC contracts. With that expansion, AutoXcel seeks a Vehicle Service Contract Claims Specialist to help it analyze mechanical claims. The applicant should be an ASE certified auto technician, have experience in automotive mechanical repair or service writing and have the ability to communicate well in writing and over the phone.
Responsibilities
· Receive and review a vehicle mechanical claim to determine as best as possible cause of damage and extent. Must have a thorough understanding of engine mechanical as well as suspension, fuel intake systems.
· The VSC Claims Specialist will have to learn and hold an understanding of the AutoXcel contract forms.
· Research mechanical repair processes and labor rates to ensure that the claim is within the stated tolerances of the accepted repair manual - i.e. - AllData..
· Build rapport with customers, repair centers, and vendors.
· Maintain an exceptional level of customer service, handling repair centers and customers in a professional and friendly manner.
Qualifications
· High School Diploma/GED
· 5 Years of experience in the automotive mechanical repair, automotive service writing, or automotive service advising industry.
· ASE (Center for Automotive Service Excellence) Certification in one or more areas.
· Experience processing and adjudicating automotive mechanical (VSC) claims preferred.
· The ability to multi-task and collaborate with team members.
· Exceptional customer service, problem solving, organization, and negotiating skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
