Job Duties:
- Curriculum Development: Design and refine engaging and comprehensive curricula in Computer Science, Robotics, and AI. Develop innovative lesson plans and hands-on projects to excite and challenge students.
- Program Facilitation: Lead educational robotics programs and competitions such as FIRST Lego League, FIRST Tech Challenge, VEX Robotics, and WRO, inspiring students to develop teamwork and technical skills.
- Course Delivery: Teach dynamic and interactive classes that cover fundamental to advanced topics in programming, robotics, and AI. Create a supportive and engaging learning environment for students of varying skill levels.
- Hands-On Learning: Guide students through projects that integrate robotics and AI concepts, emphasizing practical applications and creative problem-solving.
- Technology Integration: Utilize cutting-edge tools, platforms, and resources to enhance the teaching and learning experience. Introduce students to emerging trends and technologies in the field.
- Mentorship and Support: Provide personalized feedback and mentorship to students, helping them navigate challenges and achieve their academic and personal goals.
- Competition Preparation: Prepare students for robotics competitions, coaching them on design, programming, and strategy to ensure a rewarding and educational experience.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other instructors, curriculum developers, and support staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality educational experiences.
- Adherence to Policies: Follow institute policies and procedures related to curriculum design, course delivery, and student evaluation.
Skills and Experience:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, AI, or a related field.
- Robotics Program Experience: Hands-on experience with educational robotics programs such as FIRST Lego League, FIRST Tech Challenge, VEX Robotics, WRO, or similar.
- Teaching Skills: Proven ability to effectively teach technical concepts in Computer Science, Robotics, and AI to students with diverse skill levels.
- Curriculum Development: Experience designing and adapting lesson plans and educational materials for hands-on learning.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C , with familiarity in robotics platforms and tools.
- Passion for Education: Enthusiastic about teaching and mentoring students, fostering creativity, and inspiring a love for technology.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with the ability to adjust teaching methods to suit different student needs.
