Job Duties:
- Curriculum Development: Collaborate with our team to design and refine engaging math curriculum tailored to diverse skill levels, incorporating concepts from basic mathematics to advanced problem-solving techniques.
- Competitive Math Coaching: Prepare students for success in math competitions, including Math Kangaroo, MathCounts, AMC, AIME, and others. Develop strategies, problem sets, and workshops to enhance competitive readiness.
- Course Delivery: Deliver dynamic and interactive math lessons, workshops, and hands-on activities for students. Foster an inclusive environment where students feel encouraged to explore and excel.
- Technology Integration: Leverage technology to enhance the teaching experience, including using math-focused tools and platforms to create engaging lessons and foster active learning.
- Mentorship and Support: Guide and mentor students, providing personalized feedback and support to help them overcome challenges and achieve their learning goals.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Develop and administer assessments to evaluate student progress and performance. Provide constructive feedback to help students grow in their mathematical understanding and skills.
- Collaboration: Work closely with fellow instructors, curriculum developers, and support staff to continuously improve course offerings and educational experiences.
- Adherence to Policies: Follow institute policies and procedures related to curriculum development, course delivery, and academic integrity.
Skills and Experience:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- Math Competitions Expertise: Experience with math competitions such as Math Kangaroo, MathCounts, AMC, AIME, and similar programs.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in utilizing technology and digital tools to support teaching and learning.
- Teaching Excellence: Proven ability to effectively teach complex mathematical concepts to students of varying skill levels. Experience delivering engaging and interactive lessons.
- Curriculum Development: Ability to design and adapt educational materials, including lesson plans and activities, to meet diverse learning needs.
- Passion for Education: Enthusiastic about teaching and mentoring students, inspiring curiosity, and fostering a love for mathematics.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced educational environment. Flexible in adapting teaching methods to suit student needs and emerging trends.
