Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Buff and polish floors to maintain their appearance and longevity.
- Conduct custodial duties in commercial, industrial, and residential settings as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by restocking supplies and sanitizing surfaces.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting issues to management.
- Carry out floor care procedures, including stripping, waxing, and sealing as required.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored after use.
- Follow safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment to prevent accidents.
Skills
- Experience in commercial cleaning or custodial work is preferred.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing and waxing is a plus.
- Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks in various environments.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Good organizational skills to manage time effectively while completing tasks.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team when necessary.
- Basic knowledge of residential painting techniques can be beneficial but not required.
