We are seeking a Warehouse Manager to join our talented Supply Chain Team in an environment with a strong commitment to internal and external customer service. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and inventory flow. . This role requires the development and implementation of efficient operational strategies to optimize day-to-day processes while ensuring the timely and accurate movement of goods. Key Responsibilities:
- Fosters a culture of safety, while encouraging employee involvement in safety initiatives. Responsible for implementation and employee training on safety protocols, equipment handling, and emergency procedures.
- Oversees the training and development of warehouse staff to ensure they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively and safely. Create and implement comprehensive training programs aligned with company standards and industry best practices, facilitating onboarding for new employees and conducting ongoing skill enhancement workshops for existing staff.
- Support the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor in all aspects of their role, including the coordination and execution of inbound and outbound freight activities. Ensures accurate documentation of shipments, proper inspection of incoming goods for quality and accuracy, and organizing proper storage.
- Oversee, within a 24/6-hour operational framework, the efficient management of the inbound flow of raw materials and components to production lines, with emphasis on the importance of real-time monitoring and tracking of material movements. Manages the outbound flow of Work in Progress (WIP) and Finished Good and proper storage manufactured items.
- Responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management to ensure accuracy and efficiency in stock levels. This includes conducting regular cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy, promptly addressing discrepancies through detailed ad hoc investigations, and ensuring the accurate issuance of materials to production lines to meet operational demands.
- Responsible for fleet management of the organization’s powered industrial trucks and box truck. Oversee the maintenance, operation, and scheduling of the equipment to ensure their optimal performance, safety, and compliance with regulations. This includes inspection, coordinating repairs, and implementing maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
- Optimize warehouse efficiency by managing operations through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and address operational challenges.
- Develop into a subject matter expert in the organization’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system as it relates to all warehouse operations. Gain in-depth knowledge of the system’s functionalities, including inventory management, order processing, receiving, and shipping, but also training and supporting warehouse staff in its effective utilization. The position will act as a liaison between the warehouse team and IT, driving continuous improvement through ERP enhancements that optimize operational performance and align with business goals.
- Effectively manage freight lanes, while playing a critical role in enhancing supply chain efficiency and minimizing costs. Establish and manage relationships with carriers, suppliers, and customers. Responsible for analyzing freight lane costs to develop and implement standard rates that reflect market trends and ensure competitive pricing, thereby controlling transportation expenses.
- Facilitate end-of-life management for raw materials and components by coordinating their disposal, recycling, or repurposing in compliance with environmental regulations.
- Creates an atmosphere that supports respect, honesty and open communication among all employees; encourages employees to celebrate accomplishments and have fun.
- Participates as an active member of a cross-functional Operational Excellence program to identify, vet and complete continuous improvement opportunities.
- College Degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- 3-5 years’ leadership experience in a warehousing or manufacturing function
- Proficiency in logistics and supply chain management, along with problem-solving skills, are essential
- Strong leadership and communication skills to guide teams and convey expectations clearly
- Comprehensive knowledge of inventory management, logistics, team leadership, and operational processes
- Familiarity with ERP systems and data analysis is important for making informed decisions
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills are essential for fostering a positive team environment and resolving issues effectively.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs. routinely, up to 75 lbs. occasionally
