The McGuire Group’s Autumn View Health Care Facility in Hamburg is seeking a Weekend Warrior LPN to become a member of our elite McGuire Mission Makers team.
LPNs promote residents' health, wellness, and illness prevention through daily nursing and personal care endeavors. An LPN works under the direction of a registered nurse and must be ready to handle a diverse range of tasks and responsibilities, including administering treatment or medications, performing clinical procedures, and documenting the clinical data of patients.
Responsibilities
- Helps to fulfill the care requirements of our patients.
- Working closely with others in a fast-paced, team environment under the direction of the Nurse Manager
- Accountable for ensuring that the utmost in competent care and safety is consistently delivered to all residents. This opportunity awaits a motivated and ambitious professional with assisted living experience.
- Handles physician orders, administers medications, collects and maintains resident data, takes vitals, assists with resident comfort
- Assure proper procedures are followed at all times
- Communicate with residents and their families in an appropriate manner
Qualifications:
- Current and valid license as an LPN in the state of New York required
- Degree from an accredited school or nursing/nursing program is required
- Current CPR certification required
- Education or experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing is preferred
- Demonstrate practical communication skills, problem-solving, and conflict resolution
- Must be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliable
- Strong customer service skills and compassion
Shifts:
Weekends (Friday - Saturday or Saturday - Sunday)
Two 12-hour shifts paid for 40 hours
