Position Summary :
Coordinating the buying of materials, products and services. Negotiate contracts, pricing with vendors and / or manufacturers. Work with all departments throughout the Company. Engineering, Production, Quality, Sales, IT, and Administration etc.
Responsibilities :
- Aide in managing inventory levels, maintaining material flow to meet production / sales requirements.
- Research and qualify vendors, negotiate pricing and terms.
- Monitor performance of Vendors, on time delivery and quality.
- Prepare quotes, purchase orders per material specifications and requirements.
- Continually look for cost reductions on material and processes.
- Work with vendors to create programs in support of Lean manufacturing.
- Manage purchasing procedures per ISO requirements.
Education :
Minimum of an A.S. or A.A.S degree in Office Management, Business Administration, Business Management, Accounting, Sales or Administrative Assistant from an accredited college or university or similar work experience.
Experience :
2-5 years relevant experience in purchasing, inventory control, lean manufacturing, shipping and receiving.
Knowledge of :
Skilled at :
Communication with the ability to easily work with vendors as well as internal customers. Self-motivated and promotes positive involvement.
Organizational and record keeping skills. Attention to detail and problem solving aptitude.
Salary : $50,000 - $55,000
