Job Summary: The Quality Control Manager is responsible for ensuring that ongoing construction projects meet established standards and contract requirements. This includes defining, inspecting, and documenting daily work to ensure adherence to project specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Contract Compliance:
- Thoroughly understand and follow contract requirements, including plans and specifications.
- Understand subcontractors’ scope of work per the contract.
Leadership:
- Direct quality control efforts on assigned projects.
- Act as primary QC Manager and as Alternate QC when needed.
- Serve as Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) where “dual-hatted”.
Quality Control Program:
- Implement a 3-phase quality control program (Preparatory, Initial, Follow-Up).
- Conduct preparatory meetings, initial phase, follow-up, and final inspections.
Communication:
- Effectively communicate quality control plans and activities to project teams, designers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Schedule and lead preparatory meetings with required representatives.
- Conduct and document daily on-site inspections for work conformance and safety.
Problem Solving:
- Predict and address problems before they develop.
- Implement corrective actions to ensure project quality.
Punch Lists:
- Perform in-house punch-list inspections for each Definable Feature of Work (DFOW).
- Ensure punch list items and deficiency reports are corrected and completed.
Inspections and Testing:
- Witness all concrete placements and oversee testing.
- Coordinate third-party testing and inspections (soil, materials, welds, etc.).
- Verify and document that materials received are in conformance with approved submittals and contract requirements.
Documentation:
- Prepare and review documentation, specifications/drawings, and inspection requirements.
- Review and approve Activity Hazard Analysis forms.
- Ensure that required MSDS sheets are submitted and available on-site before starting affected work.
Coordination:
- Coordinate and document testing and commissioning of building systems.
- Communicate contract requirements to team members during various phases of the project.

Salary : $100,000 - $160,000
