What are the responsibilities and job description for the Neubig Unit Trainer Tier 4 * may start as Floater Tier 3 until proficient in all duties $16.25-$17.00/hour position at Auxiliary Services Corporation?
Sunday - Thursday 1:30pm-10:00pm 40 hours/week
Take proper food and equipment temperatures.
Enters customer purchases into the point of sales (POS) system. Processes the transaction with the proper tender - cash, meal plan, debit account or credit card. Enters all transactions according to meal plan, discount and tax policies. Review all credit cards, meal cards and biometric scans to verify the customer. Makes proper change if necessary.
When the POS system is off-line, manually record the customer information and purchase for a later processing.
Answers customer questions about meal plan and purchases policies. Notifies customers of balances when they inquire or when the balance appears low. Notifies the manager or supervisor on duty of any irregularities with customers and or sales.
Responsible for courteous serving and safe preparation of food and beverages in a retail or residential location.
Follows all food sanitation procedures to ensure that food and beverages are safe for customer to consume. Assembles orders to customer requests following portion control and recipes. Uses a large variety of equipment. Assist with counting inventory and recording product on hand. Inspects holding items for presentation and quality and removes if found past the prime shelf life or expirations. Will perform a variety of these duties in a single shit or work week in a number of work location and stations.
Preforms projects such as deep cleaning, organization and stocking.
Cleans and sanitizes work surfaces and customer dining and service areas, dishware, utensils, floors and equipment including break down and reassembly periodically. Uses commercial strength chemicals to clean, sanitize and polish. Removes trash. May secure facilities at the end of service.
Assists in other areas with food preparation duties as needed.
Receives and verifies all incoming food, paper, chemicals and supply orders for accuracy and missing or damaged items. Follows up on status of missing items and delivery expectations. Pursues missing product by traveling to the local grocery store or another on campus unit. Disposes of product that is past serviceability. Unloads all deliveries in a timely manner to ensure proper safe food temperatures. Places items in the proper storage area in compliance with HACCP standards. Rotates all product to ensure first in is first out. Pulls product from storage, freezers and coolers to meet production needs. Stocks localized work areas from larger storage areas. Conducts inventories by accurately counting product on hand. Delivers in stock items, cash or paperwork to other campus locations. Assists with maintaining the MSDS notebook. Ensures the safety of CO2 tanks and restocks CO2 and beverage product as needed.
Removes trach developed from unloading boxes and containers. Cleans loading dock, coolers and storage areas including floors and shelving areas. Uses commercial strength chemicals to clean, sanitize and polish. Responsible for a number of fryer maintenance process such as changing oil, filtering, boiling out and deep cleaning. Assists with opening and closing duties such as security and physical set up. Shovels snow and salts doorways and loading dock entrances.

Wash pots, pans, dishes, utensils manually or with equipment such as dish machines or whirlpool sink. Restocks pots, pans, dishware and utensils in customer areas and back of the house. Removes trash and cardboard from back of the house and customer areas. Log temperatures of dish machines. Test the concentration of dishwasher sanitizing agents in sinks. Cleans floors, mats, equipment and work surfaces. May use a floor machine. Maintains cleanliness and organization of the chemical storage and mop room. Uses commercial strength chemicals to clean, sanitize and polish. Reviews fire extinguishers monthly for charging and usability.
Assists in other areas with food preparation duties as needed.
Take ownership for the workstation utilizing student employee support.
Provide hands-on training for station specific tasks and general orientation to the unit. Escort the employee on a tour of the unit. Review administrative items such as menus, recipes, temp recording and time clock usage. Demonstrate and practice hands-on skills with employee. Use active listening skills, encourage the employee to reflect what they have learned and adjust communication style to different learners. Complete necessary paperwork to record employee training progress.
