Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient service and care, ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of support during their visits. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient care protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Most know ECW, and be bilingual (Spanish speaking)
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, administering injections, and drawing blood
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) ECW
- Provide education to patients regarding treatment plans and follow-up care
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the clinic
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure continuity of care for patients
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred
- Strong knowledge of physiology and medical terminology
- Proficiency in coding practices is beneficial
- Excellent patient service skills with a focus on compassionate care
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent
