AVA Consulting is seeking a Sr User Experience Designer
Location: Greenwood Village, CO (Hybrid)

Job Description:
- UX Designer will partner with a cross functional team of product, engineering, key stakeholders, and designers to create an end to end customer experience for our digital community. In this role, you should be an analytical and creative designer who is able to grasp user needs and solve problems. A strong portfolio of successful UX and other technical projects is essential.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to:
- Developing wireframes and task flows based on user needs
- Collaborating with Designers and Developers to create intuitive, user-friendly software
- Understand product specifications and user psychology
- Conduct concept and usability testing and gather feedback
- Create personas through user research and data
- Define the right interaction model and evaluate its success
- Work with existing UI Developer to create wireframes and prototypes around customer needs
- Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, findability)
Required Skills:
- Bachelor s degree in Design related area of focus, or other relevant discipline such as UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Design Thinking, or a related discipline.
- 8 years of proven experience as a UX Designer responsible for wireframes, prototyping, and designs advocating for customer experience.
- Experience working with agile development methodologies.
- Strong portfolio showcasing web application projects, detailing your role and process
- Expertise in design software such as Figma, Figjam, and Miro.
- Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and practices.
- Strong understanding of usability principles, journey mapping techniques, information architecture, and interaction design.
- Experience in conducting user research and usability testing to support evidence-focused design decisions.
- Define and execute a customer centric strategy to focus on the customer experience through user research
- Strong journey mapping experience.
- Background in project management and research
- Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture
- Some knowledge of HTML/CSS; JavaScript/React is a plus
- Strong Interpersonal and consultative skills Seeks understanding, excellent listener
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate across product, engineering, marketing and key stakeholders
