Duties

- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes in the client's condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Assist with mobility and physical activities, including lifting clients when necessary.
- Administer basic personal care tasks such as catheter care and hygiene assistance.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality and privacy.
- Support clients with developmental disabilities by implementing individualized care plans.
- Provide hospice care as needed, ensuring comfort during end-of-life stages.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
Skills
- Certification in CPR is preferred to ensure emergency preparedness.
- Experience in home care or assisted living settings is highly desirable.
- Strong caregiving skills with the ability to lift and assist clients safely.
- Knowledge of catheter care procedures is an asset.
- Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities is beneficial.
- Understanding of hospice care principles is advantageous for providing compassionate end-of-life support.
