As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for developing detailed electrical designs for low and medium voltage switchgear and controls for systems that control multiple generators and parallel to one or more utility sources. Your work will play a key role in ensuring precise design solutions that align with manufacturing and engineering standards.
Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, this position is based on site in Kewanee, IL.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Education: Minimum of bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar.
- Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience required. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Skills: CAD tools and AutoCAD Electrical experience required.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Interpret project write-ups, customer specifications, electrical drawings and correspondence.
- Create AC and DC schematics, component layouts, wiring diagrams, and one-line diagrams for project submittals, fabrication and As-built’s drawings.
- Electrical components down selection and bill of material development.
- Design and implement power system control schemes including switchgear transfer control, load management control, generator control, microgrid control and SCADA system development.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, NFPA, NEC, UL, and suggests improvements when possible.
- Provide engineering/technical support to manufacturing, test, and product support.
