Job Summary :
We are seeking a passionate and qualified English teacher to join St. Michael High School starting with the 2025-26 school year. The High School English Teacher develops students' skills in reading, writing, critical thinking, and communication. This role involves teaching literature, composition, and language arts while fostering an appreciation for diverse literary works and guiding students to express themselves effectively and creatively.
Key Responsibilities :
Instruction and Curriculum Development
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in literature, composition, grammar, and language arts aligned with state standards.
- Teach a variety of literary genres, including novels, poetry, drama, and non-fiction, emphasizing analysis and interpretation.
- Develop students' writing skills through assignments such as essays, research papers, creative writing, and presentations.
- Incorporate technology and multimedia resources to enhance learning.
