What are the responsibilities and job description for the Middle School History and Religion Teacher (Grades 6th, 7th, 8th) position at Available Positions?
Saint Charles Borromeo Academy is currently seeking a fill time Middle School Humanities Teacher as well as for the 2025-2026 school year. Partnering with parents in their role as primary educators, Saint Charles Borromeo Academy extends the mission of the Church in forming true disciples of Jesus Christ. Through a Catholic Classic Liberal Arts education centered on Christ, we provide an integrated approach fostering a love for truth, beauty, and goodness. Responsibilities
- Understand and uphold the teachings of the Catholic Church at all times.
- Passionate about supporting The Catholic Liberal Arts tradition at the Academy.
- Lead scholars to an understanding and an appreciation of all that is good, beautiful, and true.
- Relate to scholars by loving them with the love of Christ, encouraging them to begin and / or develop their own relationship with God through sacraments and scripture, and challenging them to love others.
- Be a role model of Christian love, faith, truthfulness and virtue.
- Manage the class by setting clear expectations of behavior, establishing reasonable routines, and promoting self-discipline based on Catholic principles.
- Teach scholars in a challenging, enthusiastic and age-appropriate manner using the classical model or demonstrate a willingness to be trained in classical education methods.
- Work in a collaborative way with the other Middle School teachers to develop and implement a Classic Catholic curriculum that enriches the educational experience with a seamless integration of the arts and faith element with history instruction.
