What are the responsibilities and job description for the Secretary/Bookkeeper position at Available Positions?
St. Joseph Catholic Church in Trenton, Immaculate Heart of Mary in Princeton and Blessed Sacrament in Bethany is seeking a part time secretary / bookkeeper who will be responsible for the secretarial duties and financial records of the three parishes.
Essential Duties :
- Greet visitors and answer phones.
- Maintain parish records.
- Prepare reports.
- Provide clerical support to pastor.
- Perform basic office duties, i.e., maintaining supplies, cleaning, etc.
- Process all parish donations.
- Prepares and distributes all end of the year giving reports.
- Track and schedule all parish maintenance.
- Oversee parish hall rentals and coordinates the use of other physical spaces needed for the mission of our parish.
- Create and track the budget throughout the year.
- Prepare budget reports for the finance council and the parishes.
- Prepare the annual Diocesan reports.
- Process accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and publish weekly bulletin.
