About The Opportunity
We're partnering with a highly respected hospital system in Missoula, MT to find a Senior Director of Adult Acute Services. This is a full-time, onsite leadership position responsible for overseeing clinical operations, nursing excellence, and team development across the adult acute care service line.
The ideal candidate is a nursing leader with a strong operational mindset, a collaborative approach, and a passion for high-quality patient care. This role reports directly to the Director of Care Management and plays a key role in driving strategic alignment and clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Lead and align day-to-day operations of adult acute services with hospital goals
- Advance professional nursing practice and care delivery models
- Partner with executive leaders on performance, quality, and strategic initiatives
- Develop and manage budgets, monitor expenses, and improve cost-effectiveness
- Conduct financial forecasting and business case development
- Identify opportunities to enhance operational and financial performance
- Direct staffing, scheduling, compliance, and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain policies, procedures, and regulatory readiness
- Foster innovation, patient safety, and service excellence
- Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing nursing and support staff
- Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and growth-oriented work culture
- Oversee performance evaluations and staff development planning
- Collaborate with physicians, administrative leaders, and external partners
- Represent nursing on cross-functional committees and initiatives
- Encourage open communication, data sharing, and transparent decision-making
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business preferred
- Active RN license (Montana or compact state) required
- Minimum 3 years of progressive nursing leadership (5 years preferred)
- Experience in acute care settings with oversight of large clinical teams and complex budgets
- Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills
- Preferred certifications: Nursing specialty board certification, Patient Safety, Clinical Quality
- Competitive salary: $116,000 - $145,000 (DOE)

Salary : $116,000 - $145,000
