Key Responsibilities:
Driving and Delivery:
- Safely operate the thrift store vehicle to pick up donations from various locations.
- Ensure all donations are properly loaded, secured, and transported without damage.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, performing regular maintenance checks.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
Customer Interaction:
- Provide excellent customer service during donation pickups, answering any questions donors may have.
- Assist donors with unloading items from their vehicles when necessary.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
Back Room Responsibilities:
- Sort and categorize incoming donations, ensuring items are in good condition and meet store standards.
- Price and tag items according to store guidelines.
- Organize and maintain the back room, ensuring a clean and efficient workspace.
- Assist with inventory management, including tracking and restocking items as needed.
- Collaborate with store staff to ensure a smooth workflow and efficient processing of donations.
General Duties:
- Assist with setting up and breaking down displays and sales areas as needed.
- Help with store maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and organizing.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on store policies and procedures.
- Report any issues or concerns to the store manager promptly.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Follow company policies and procedures, including those related to handling donations and interacting with customers.
- Report any accidents or incidents immediately to the appropriate personnel.
