Here is what you can expect in your role as Warehouse Associate – also known as responsibilities:
- Pick customer orders
- Receive and consolidate inbound material
- Safely complete outbound warehouse tasks, like unloading, loading, sorting, labeling, and packing, with high quality and attention to detail
- Check picking labels for accuracy and inspect items for defects or damages
- Ensure products are packed and shipped correctly to exceed customers' expectations for quality and delivery speed
- Drive an electric forklift and reach truck
- Meet or exceed productivity and accuracy standards
- Maintain a safe and clean warehouse
- Follow all safety rules
- Act professionally and remain focused
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership team
What You Bring to the Table:
- Ability to work 40 hours per week/5 days - 7:30am - 4:00pm with alternating Saturdays
- Must be 18 years of age
- Ability to read and speak English
- Ability to follow detailed instructions
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment and machinery
- Meet requirements for safety, quality, productivity, behavior, and attendance
- Must be comfortable using inventory computer software
- Basic math skills, ability to count, add, and subtract numbers quickly and accurately
- Ability to identify colors, sizes, quantity, label, and SKU information
- Ability to work independently without close supervision
- Ability to receive feedback and work well in a team environment
- Responsible for any additional duties assigned
Physical demands
In performing the job of a Warehouse Associate, the employee must stand and walk for an 8 hour shift. Additionally, the position requires frequent grasping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and handling of fragile packages that typically weigh up to 55 lbs. and occasionally weigh up to 80 lbs. with hands and arms. Moderate hand-eye coordination, near vision, far vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, adjusting focus and hearing.
Working Environment
The job will be performed entirely in the warehouse where conditions can range from warm to cool. The job will be performed around warehouse machines and equipment with a moderate level of noise. Employee must be able to work in a high-volume, high-demand environment while meeting strenuous customer deadlines. Employee must be able to change priorities or job duties as needed and interact with employees at all levels.
