Certified Nursing Assistant-CNALocation : 119-Southern Utah Veterans Home - Ivins, St. George, UT, 84738Job DescriptionA Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing basic care to patients and assisting them with daily activities. The CNA will work under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse and will be responsible for the following :
- Assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Monitoring patients' vital signs and reporting any changes to the nurse in charge
- Assisting with feeding patients and ensuring they receive proper nutrition
- Assisting with mobility and transferring patients from bed to wheelchair or vice versa
- Keeping patients' rooms clean and organized
- Assisting with medical procedures such as taking blood pressure, administering medications, and changing dressings
- Providing emotional support to patients and their families
- Documenting patient care and reporting any changes in condition to the nurse in chargeRequirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
- Current certification as a CNA
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and move patients as needed
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
