Full-time/Part-time Culinary Cook Position (some weekends required)
Avalon Hills, located in scenic Cache Valley, is seeking a passionate and experienced Culinary Staff Member to prepare and serve delicious, family-style meals for our patients and staff at our Paradise, Utah location.

About Avalon Hills:
Avalon Hills has helped hundreds of clients through our eating disorder programs, assisting in building strong personal foundations for a healthy future. As a privately held residential treatment program, we are personally invested in each client's future. Since our inception in 2003, Avalon Hills has offered paths to recovery, helping our clients develop new ways of thriving in their lives.
At our residences, there is a strong focus on food because it is one of the most obvious outward targets of eating disorders. Our culinary staff plays a crucial role in providing high-quality treatment for our patients. Under the direction of our Culinary Coordinators and Dietitians, our cooks provide high-quality meals for our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Cook and prepare full meals using the stove, oven, etc.
- Adhere to recipes, patient meal plans, menus, and dietary guidelines
- Ensure all food is stored and prepared safely
- Perform daily and regularly scheduled cleaning in the kitchen and dining room
- Operate common kitchen equipment safely and responsibly
- Attend departmental in-service training
- Adhere to company and departmental policies, procedures, and safety rules
- Communicate effectively with other staff to meet schedule requirements
- Interact professionally with patients and staff
- Eat meals with patients and staff
Other Qualifications:
- Food Handler’s Permit
- Applicants must be 18 years or older
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to follow recipes and prepare meals independently
