What are the responsibilities and job description for the Night Time Direct Care Associate position at Avalon Hills Eating Disorder Programs?
We are looking for the right person to fill a full-time position or 2 part-time people for our Direct Care Associate position working Graves (10pm-6am) in beautiful Paradise, UT.
Grave staff monitor our clients while they sleep to assure that they are safe and in bed. It's a great shift for those who study. Staff are not allowed to sleep on shift.
Due to the nature of the program and state licensing requirements, applicants must be female and be able to pass a required background check.
Our Direct Care Associates are the eyes and ears of our professional staff. They help our therapists ensure that the clients are receiving the highest quality of treatment available to help our clients overcome their eating disorders. As a Direct Care Associate, you will work at one of our residential eating disorders treatment facilities for females located 15 minutes from downtown Logan.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Interact with patients while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
- Observe patient behaviors.
- Monitor patients to identify symptomatic behavior.
- Record observations.
- Report observed patient behaviors to supervisor.
- Complete written logs and documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information.
- Support supervisor in adhering to schedule.
- Attend staff meetings and trainings.
- Assist supervisor in maintaining proper patient to staff ratio.
- Observe environment to identify patient triggers and report to supervisor.
- Identify and control potential hazards to patient safety.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent. Some college education preferred.
- Applicants must be 18 years or older.
- Reliable transportation.
- Capable of working in environments of emotional stress.
- Covid Vaccination
Shifts
- Morning: 6am-2pm, Evening: 2pm-10pm, Night: 10pm-6am
- Around 3 to 5 shifts per week depending on need and desire
- Pay is $13.50 plus an additional $1.00 per hour shift differential
Preferred Skills
- Position is entry level and incumbent will receive necessary training on the job.
- Previous experience working in a residential treatment setting preferred.
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification.
