About Avalon Hospitality Group
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Sales to lead the sales strategy for our hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the hotel's sales plan to achieve revenue targets in rooms, events, and catering.
- Lead and mentor the sales team, setting clear goals and accountability standards.
- Build strong relationships with corporate clients, travel partners, and group accounts.
- Monitor market trends, competitive set performance, and adjust strategies as needed.
- Represent the hotel at trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities.
- Manage key accounts and high-value negotiations directly.
- Report on performance metrics, pipeline activity, and forecasting to ownership and senior leadership.
Requirements:
- 7 years of hotel sales experience, with at least 3 in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in full-service or upscale properties.
- Strong leadership, team building, and negotiation skills.
- Deep understanding of sales systems (e.g., Delphi, Salesforce), revenue management principles, and the hospitality market.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
