Using a Housing First approach, Avalon Services staff provide outreach, intensive case management and housing support services to Avalon tenants and clients. The individuals we serve face many challenges, including mental illness, substance use disorders, and/or chronic medical conditions in addition to chronic homelessness.
The Hickory Way Team Leader will oversee the supportive services offered to residents living at Avalon Housing's Hickory Way housing development. This will include a team of Support Coordinators, Resident Support Specialists, a Community Builder, a Peer Support position, a Housing Support specialist, and an Older Adult Specialist.

Core Responsibilities include:
- Clinical supervision and support to direct reports; provide leadership for ongoing operations of the team
- Provide ongoing staff training and oversight to ensure quality of services
- Provide oversight to clinical and community programming needs
- Uphold Council of Accreditation (COA) service standards
- Uphold all contractual requirements with partner agencies
- Supervise staff/intern provision of the following key services:
- Ongoing, active outreach to tenants/clients
- Comprehensive tenant assessments and action plans to achieve goals
- Ongoing case management for clients, including maintenance of clinical records and progress notes
- Collaboration with Property Management to coordinate eviction prevention efforts
- Oversee crisis intervention as needed
- Build community and peer support among tenants including participation in community programming activities
Supplemental Job Duties:
- Attend staff meetings, retreats, and professional training sessions
- Participate in on-call rotation as necessary
Required Qualifications
- MSW or relevant Master's degree in a social or behavioral science or relevant field preferred; Bachelor's required
- Two years' experience working with people who are homeless, people with mental illness, chronic health issues, and/or addiction disorders, or similar populations
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with staff from various backgrounds
- Ability to work flexible hours as required by programs and staffing needs including occasional evenings and weekends

- Positive and enthusiastic attitude and strong commitment toward helping those in need

Starting Salary: $58,500
