ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial reports, statements, and metrics to assess the hospital's financial performance.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify deviations from budgeted targets and provide explanations for the variances.
- Generate regular financial reports and presentations for management, board of directors, and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with department managers to develop annual operating budgets and financial forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and government reporting requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of financial data for audits, tax filings, and regulatory surveys.
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis and return on investment (ROI) assessments for capital expenditures and operational initiatives.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- Ability to analyze and interpret data and prepare concise and accurate financial reports.
- Ability to understand, develop, and enhance computer spreadsheet applications for specific financial modeling, with proficiency in Excel.
- Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement systems, revenue cycle management, and healthcare financial regulations.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or related business field, or equivalent finance experience in a healthcare environment.
- 2-3 years' experience in finance or accounting
