- Dusts, waxes, and polishes furniture
- Empties waste baskets
- Washes walls, windows, and blinds
- Collects soiled linen and places at pickup point
- Receives and delivers clean linen
- Keeps rest rooms in clean, orderly, and sanitary condition
- Cleans, disinfects, and deodorizes lavatories, urinals, and toilet bowls
- Cleans mirrors, sink and water fountains
- Dusts ledges and woodwork
- Removes dirt and greasy film from surfaces
- Replaces deodorizers, toilet tissues, hand towels and soap
- Notes condition of rest room and reports water leaks, clogged drains, and other conditions requiring maintenance
- Keeps an adequate stock of cleaning materials and equipment
- Gathers and disposes of trash and waste
- Washes door frames, lighting vents, ceiling fixtures and partitions using ladders
- Removes stains from surfaces using chemicals and cleaning solutions
- Cleans medical treatment areas according to established procedures and observing aseptic techniques
- Cleans isolation areas according to correct procedures
- Uses specified cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting agents
- Retrieves and returns cart of supplies and equipment
- Cleans and maintains equipment used in performance of duties, changing brushes, accessories, and stores properly
- Maintains linen supplies in each area including inventory, restocking, and cleaning area
- Performs special clean and disinfectant procedures under direction of nursing staff.
