We are seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to provide administrative and functional support to our HR department. The ideal candidate will assist with various HR processes, employee documentation, and serve as a point of contact for HR-related inquiries.

Essential Functions
- Assist with administrative tasks, including preparing correspondence, updating spreadsheets, and processing employee paperwork.
- Maintain and organize personnel files and general HR filing systems.
- Support the employee hiring process by helping schedule interviews, communicate with candidates, and coordinate pre-employment screenings.
- Assemble and process new hire paperwork, ensuring proper distribution to relevant departments.
- Compliance & Reporting: Assist with compliance tracking, such as verifying employee credentials, monitoring required trainings, and preparing HR reports as needed.
- Payroll & Timekeeping Support: Assist in verifying timecards, tracking paid time off (PTO), and ensuring payroll documentation is processed correctly.
- Event & Recognition Program Support: Help plan and coordinate employee events, wellness initiatives, and recognition programs to promote employee engagement.
- Answer general HR-related questions regarding policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Other Administrative Duties: Provide general administrative support such as scheduling meetings, ordering office supplies, and assisting with special HR projects as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Strong organization skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with HR policies, procedures, and employment regulations is a plus.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Education/Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 to 2 years of related HR experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
