Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers in patient examinations and procedures
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Administer basic life support measures in emergency situations
- Perform medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and billing
- Assist with medical coding and documentation
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
- Excellent patient service skills, including effective communication and empathy
- Proficient in taking accurate vital signs and documenting patient information
- Familiarity with basic life support techniques and emergency response protocols
- Ability to provide medical administrative support, including appointment scheduling and billing
- Experience with medical coding systems and documentation requirements
Requirements:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
- Previous experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is a plus
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
