Optometrist

Avalon Medical Center is a diagnostic and treatment facility located in New Windsor, NY. We are seeking a dedicated medical optometrist for a full time/part time position. This is a wonderful opportunity to build a practice as we continue to grow this location. You will be working alongside a friendly and efficient staff and have tech support.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and diagnose eye conditions.
• Provide patient care by prescribing corrective lenses and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Educate patients on eye health and preventive care.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals in managing pediatric cases and complex ophthalmic conditions.
• Utilize EMR and EHR systems for efficient patient management and documentation.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry degree
• Strong patient care and communication skills
• In-depth knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical records management
• Proficient in aseptic techniques and vital sign assessment
• Experience with EMR and EHR systems

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $100.00 - $130.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 8 per week
