Avalon Medical Center is a diagnostic and treatment facility located in New Windsor, NY. We are seeking a dedicated medical optometrist for a full time/part time position. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and diagnose eye conditions.
- Provide patient care by prescribing corrective lenses and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on eye health and preventive care.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in managing pediatric cases and complex ophthalmic conditions.
- Utilize EMR and EHR systems for efficient patient management and documentation.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry degree
- Strong patient care and communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical records management
- Proficient in aseptic techniques and vital sign assessment
- Experience with EMR and EHR systems
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $100.00 - $130.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 8 per week
