Guitar Educator/Instructor - Music School - Wylie, TX - Multiple Days

Avalon School of Music is a growing music school with locations in Wylie & Allen Texas, and we're looking for a Guitar Instructor who can join our great organization. We teach all ages of students, from about 6 years old, through to adults, so the perfect candidate will have experience teaching all ages of students. We only teach private 1-1 lessons, and each instructor has their own private studio. We recommend that each teacher tailor the instruction materials for each student, and focus the lessons in the areas that the student needs help with.

Requirements:

We prefer teaching experience, and a music degree is ideal. You may substitute playing / performing experience for a degree, but we're looking for a good working knowledge of music theory & sight reading, and be able to demonstrate your technical skills. We highly value great communications skills, and the ability to make the lessons fun for the students. You will be asked to sight read some sample music during the interview process.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging guitar lesson plans tailored to students' skill levels and interests.
• Foster a positive learning environment through effective classroom management and communication.
• Encourage creativity and expression in students through music and related activities.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to promote growth.

We're currently growing, and would like an instructor who can teach on some or all of the following days:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday

Pay rate is $28-36 per hour DOE.

This is a 1099 contractor position.
