AvaMed Workforce is a Healthcare Staffing Agency providing mental health services to California State Correctional Facilities. We are currently seeking a qualified Pyschiatrist to fill a Full-Time position at the Corcoran, CA correctional facility.
Job Summary:
This position involves providing comprehensive psychiatric services to inmates/wards in a correctional setting. The ideal candidate will have expertise in assessing and treating individuals with complex mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial mental health evaluations, including criminal, psychiatric, and substance abuse case history
- Assess inmate's current needs and make treatment recommendations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide crisis interventions and face-to-face interviews
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes
The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
This is an independent contractor position offering $275 per hour ($11,000 per week) and a 40-hour workweek schedule from Monday-Thursday, 9:00am-7:00pm.
