Description Medication Technician Type : Full-Time Shift : Swing, Various, weekend availability required Wage : $22-24 / hour DOE Location : Avamere at South Hill - 3708 East 57th Avenue, Spokane, WA 99223 The primary purpose of this position is to provide each resident with routine daily health services and medication needs. Responsibilities : Administer medications ordered by the attending physician, under the direction of the DHS and according to current policies, procedures, and practices Provide care for residents and assist with updating service plans. Assist with the Life Enrichment Program and encourage residents to participate in activities Respond to resident calls and emergencies promptly and provide first aid assistance Assist in providing a safe environment for residents Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, calm, and joy Assist with daily living activities (i.e., bathing, dressing, and eating) Provide support with residents to caregivers as needed Document and communicate resident changes and complete all reports in a timely manner Maintain confidentiality of all resident care in accordance with HIPAA guidelines Qualifications : Must be at least 18 years old High-School diploma or equivalent HCA or CNA license strongly preferred Minimum of one-year of experience in a healthcare setting Must have or obtain (within 30-days of employment) First Aid & CPR Certification Must have or obtain (within 30-days of employment) Food Handlers Card Knowledge and experience caring for and interacting with elders Ability to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination preferred, but not required Employee Perks : Tuition assistance Access up to 50% of your net earned income before payday Mentorship opportunities Career Development Employee assistance program featuring counseling services, financial coaching, free legal services, and more Paid time off / sick leave (rolls over annually) 401K retirement plan with employer match Comprehensive benefits package with medical coverage, voluntary dental, vision, and life insurance, short-term disability, and AD&D coverage At Avamere Communities, we love to celebrate our diverse group of hardworking employees.
