Job Role- ECU Test Engineer
Location- Lisle IL Onsite from day 1
Position Overview
This position is part of Application algorithm team developing Controls and Software logic for ECU applications and responsible for software requirements, design, coding, testing, software integration and releases.
The Engineer will also have exposure to or participate in the development of closed loop vehicle HIL system that is a critical tool in controls development and test.
Skills & Experience
Relevant experience of 5 years’ experience.
Understanding of complete Vehicle system architecture, vehicle features, functionality, and Requirement Documents.
Experience in preparing Functional Validation test procedures and test cases.
Experience in executing Functional Validation testing and preparation of test report.
Functional validation of control functions using CANalyzer, CAN J1939 and J1708 protocols
Experience in vehicle functional Testing for Body and Comfort Electronic Systems
Experience in functional testing of individual components and of system integration on Vehicles.
Knowledge of bench testing, Automated testing using HIL setups.
Experience with Canoe, CAN analyzer tools.
Must have knowledge of communication protocols like J1939, J1708
Development of appropriate documentation to support process compliance
Knowledge of Issue Tracking Tool like JIRA, Crucible
Lead / participate in issue resolution activities during development, validation, and vehicle launch
Should be flexible to work at Client site & different time zone.
Experience / Skills
Bachelor of Engineering or Master s degree in IT / Computers / Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunication
Automotive controls knowledge
Good knowledge of vehicles, and vehicle sub-systems
Excellent verbal and written skills
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively in English
