Description

The Company operates three cold storage facilities in the Bay Area. We handle any type of temperature-controlled or dry warehousing for our customers. We are recruiting a Food Safety / Sanitation Manager to join our team and help oversee food safety and sanitation efforts at three facilities.

This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday.

This integral role will interact with our operational teams and compliance department to :

Verify and validate SQF processes related to sanitation.

Communicate sanitation policies, standards and procedures across all three facilities.

Manage company pest control program and service provider.

Help ensure compliance with SQF, AIB, OSHA, USDA and FDA standards.

Develop and implement Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP).

Oversee the planning and organization of sanitation related programs.

Perform regular food safety audits at all locations.

Assist director of food safety in establishing, monitoring and executing companywide food safety standards related to sanitation.

Maintain a monthly food safety KPI metric for all critical activities.

Monitor chemical inventory levels and order supplies as necessary

Requirements

Minimum 5-years of experience in a food safety.

SQF and HACCP. knowledge

Three years or more of supervisory experience.

Ability to train others in food safety and sanitation practices.

Good computer skills.

Ability to identify and solve problems in a timely manner.

Ability to work well with others.

Good decision-making skills.

Strong communication skills.

Ability to speak Spanish highly preferred.

Solid understanding of Good Warehouse Practices. (GWP)

Knowledge of Cal / OSHA standards.

Successful candidates must pass a post-offer pre-employment drug screen
