About the job

We are looking for an experienced machine builder to build and assemble a variety of standard and non-standard machines and related tooling.

Responsibilities

Strong mechanical / machine building aptitude
Ability to read blueprints and understand tolerancing of components and machined parts
Ability to alter, fit, and adjust assemblies to meet close tolerances
Work from reverse engineering
Follow a machine from start to finish, including drawing markups
Other duties as required by the Machine Build Supervisor, General Manager, or Select Tool Management

General machinist capabilities :

Manual / CNC Mill

Lathe Manual

Grinder, surface

Operate a wide variety of hand tools (drills, grinders, etc.)

Qualifications

Good knowledge of pneumatic systems and fluid control systems

Good knowledge PLCs & HMIs, Servo motors and robotics;

Understanding of GD&T (fits and tolerances)

Ability to communicate viable solutions to fulfill full functionality of the equipment to respective team members, Designers and Management.

Detailed, precise and accurate

Mechanically inclined

Ability to analyze and troubleshoot problems

Machine building and manufacturing experience an asset (Leveling / Rigging)

Requirements

Ability to work in fast paced / team environment

Positively interact with Customers, colleagues and management

Valid Driver’s license

Ability to travel
