OBIEE Developer with Snowflake and SCM

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced OBIEE Developer with a strong background in data warehousing and business intelligence. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), Snowflake cloud data warehouse, and Supply Chain Management (SCM) data integration. This role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining complex reports, dashboards, and visualizations to provide actionable insights to business stakeholders. You will work closely with business analysts and other team members to understand requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver high-quality BI solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain OBIEE reports, dashboards, and visualizations using data from Snowflake and other sources.

• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.

• Implement data modeling and ETL processes to ensure data quality and performance.

• Integrate OBIEE with Snowflake using appropriate connectors and tools.

• Work with SCM data, understanding its structure and nuances, to create insightful reports related to supply chain performance, inventory management, logistics, etc.

• Collaborate with business analysts to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Perform unit and integration testing to ensure the accuracy and reliability of BI solutions.

• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues and data discrepancies.

• Provide technical support to end-users.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in business intelligence and data warehousing, particularly in OBIEE and Snowflake.

• Document technical designs, development processes, and user manuals.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices.

• Contribute to the overall architecture and design of the BI platform.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• 5 years of experience in OBIEE development, including report and dashboard creation, metadata management, and security configuration.

• 3 years of experience with Snowflake cloud data warehouse, including data loading, querying, and performance tuning.

• Strong understanding of SQL and data modeling concepts.

• Experience with SCM data and related business processes (e.g., procurement, inventory management, order fulfillment).

• Proficiency in data visualization tools and techniques.

• Experience with ETL processes and tools.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript).

• Experience with Agile development methodologies.

• Familiarity with cloud-based data warehousing concepts and best practices.

• Experience with OBIEE administration and performance tuning.
