Position InformationLocation; Binghamton, NYSalary Range : $83,800 - $104,700Schedule : Office - On SiteJob SummaryResponsible for ensuring compliance commitment for Gas and Hydro Engineering and Operations, across all Avangrid Gas Companies.Work close to the business and create the bridge internally with Regulatory, Legal and Compliance staff, and also be the person of contact to Regulatory Agencies.Identify new and revised regulatory guidance; create paths of communication to business units. Ensure business areas as assigned have implemented regulatory requirements, by collecting evidence that demonstrate that process, operations, trainings, policies, and procedures have been updated. Provide subject matter expertise and guidance for business areas as it relates to day-to-day needs, including but not limited to, implementations, and corrective action plans.Key Responsibilities : Coordinate the Compliance team activities and report to leadershipAssign individual tasks and works with direct manager to establish team goalsIdentify new and revised regulatory rules and creates paths of communication to the businessReport and advises on proposed changes on Federal or State regulations.Provide subject matter expertise and guidance for the business as it relates to Operational ComplianceManage projects as needed in partnership with the businessEnsure that business areas understand and address all actionable compliance directives and provide proof of implementation to the Compliance team.Validate action plans proposed by the business areas to ensure risk mitigation and challenge it when not appropriate.Create action plans targeting violation reductions, including driving proactive changes to SOP's impacting compliance and work with respective leaders to influence action planning and implementation with a continuous improvement mindsetDevelop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company guidelines and industry standardsAssign and coordinate responses to regulatory requests on a timely filing and accurate mannerEstablish bridge and communication channels with different stakeholders, including Legal, Regulatory and Compliance staffCoordinate the development and deployment of proactive self-assessments for compliance risks identificationAct as liaison during Regulatory Audits or Field Visits / InspectionsParticipate on recurrent proactive meetings with Regulatory AgenciesProvide updates reporting to all leadership with potential impacts to Gas BusinessMonitor and escalates risks to Senior LeadershipDefine controls, documentation, and assessment of its effectivenessParticipate in incident investigations in partnership with the business, Legal, Regulatory and Compliance staffSkills and RequirementsRequired Skills / Abilities : Ability to lead teams and work in a team environmentAbility to analyze data, draw conclusions, and make recommendationsAbility to assist and develop employees.Ability to work in cross functional environmentalUnderstanding of Natural Gas IndustryExcellent oral and written communication skillsPublic presentation skills and ability to summarize concepts presented accordinglyResults orientedRequired Education and Experience : Bachelor's degree and 6 years total professional experienceMBA preferredExperience with Performance Operational / MetricsExperience with reporting and tracking deadlines when working across different departmentsCompetenciesDevelop Self & OthersEmpower to growCollaborate and ShareBe a role modelFocus to achieve resultsBe agile#LI-Onsite; #LI-CH1Mobility InformationPlease note that any applicant who is not a citizen of the country of the vacancy will be subject to compliance with the applicable immigration requirements to legally work in that countryAVANGRID's employment practices and policies are geared to hiring a diverse workforce and sustaining an inclusive culture.
