Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lineperson to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various settings, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems on the transmission side and the ability to work effective in outdoor environments.
Duties
- Safely performs all types of transmission and distribution pole line work, including climbing poles, installing or maintaining crossarms, pins, insulators, wires and cable, transformers, cutouts, lightning arrestors and related equipment.
- Works on energized lines and equipment in accordance with Company's Distribution and/or Transmission Standards and Safety Regulations.
- Assumes the responsibility of emergency duty with a minimum of supervision and directs the activities of lower rated workers.
- Shares the standby requirements of the area.
- Prepares and keeps such records as may be necessary and performs other appropriate work as may be assigned.
Experience
- Must have passed the exam and be a qualified 1/C, 2/C, or 3/C Line Worker.
- Must have a Class A driver's license unless you were a Line Worker with a class B driver’s license prior to 7/1/2009, and a good record of safe driving
- Is subject to the Company random drug and alcohol testing policy.
- Must practice Company safety policies and procedures.
- Must be capable of carrying out the essential functions of the classification.
- Must reside within an acceptable distance from headquarters and be available for emergency assignments.
- OSHA 10 Certified is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $36.77 - $48.24 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
