Job Description
The Director of IT Sourcing has overall ownership of the Sourcing process at Otsuka for IT category spend and will partner closely with the IT leadership team to drive the greatest value possible for the organization. This role is responsible for the development and execution of the company's overall IT Category Management. This role enforces all policies, processes, and systems related to IT Strategic Sourcing in OAPI / OPDC, and partners with other key Sourcing stakeholders in Supply Chain, R&D, Regional (OAI), and with our parent company in Japan. The Director of IT Sourcing also partners with the FP&A teams to understand the future investment plans from the business and identify cost optimization opportunities through strategic sourcing and leading category management practices, maximizing value and minimizing risks for Otsuka.
Job Description
The Director of IT Sourcing will manage a cross-functional Center of Excellence and responsibilities include the following :
Overall Responsibility
- Partners with the IT executive team to create a Sourcing vision and strategy that aligns with the needs of the business while meeting financial and operational control objectives.
- Develops and manage relationships with key vendors, building a path to strategic partnerships that enables operational continuous improvement and innovation.
- Ensures compliance of policy, process, and systems for IT category spend.
- Manage full lifecycle of contracts for assigned programs, projects and key suppliers.
- Pro-actively manage contracts and license renewals to mitigate business disruptions.
- Successfully lead negotiations for enterprise initiatives meeting the timelines, scope, and requirements agreed upon with key stakeholders.
- Socialization and facilitation of the Procurement policy and processes, ensuring that the project teams and stakeholders understand the policies and adhere to it.
- Responsible for evaluating vendor performance working under the guidelines established by the vendor management organization.
- Identifies continuous improvement opportunities based on the status of macroeconomy, latest industry trends, and new technology.
- Accountable for driving annual savings within the IT category through performing market intelligence analysis.
- Directs Sourcing professionals within the Center of Excellence to ensure timely delivery of assigned sourcing projects.
