The role
The Product Development Process (PDP) Systems Analyst is a member of the R&D Project Management Office team that supports the design and development of innovative medical devices. The PDP Systems Analyst supports the PMO and PDP tools and software systems that enable the execution of projects and strategy critical to accelerating growth for Avanos. This cross-functional role, reporting to the PDP Champion, will be the primary SME and administrator of the Planisware Orchestra PPM Software and will be accountable for executing the strategic roadmap for Orchestra enhancements and expansion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- System Administration
- Act as the primary system administrator for Planisware Orchestra, including managing users, profiles, and licenses
- Act as the primary internal system configuration lead, including making configuration changes via Orchestra Designer and template editors based on user feedback and minor modifications, creating/updating templates, and other system data.
- Troubleshoot and investigate user issues; log issues via JIRA, work with Planisware Orchestra support team to resolve issues, and perform testing
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities, mock up and test recommendations to stakeholders for improvements, and execute improvements to align with the Roadmap, including creating or modifiying Dashboards, Portfolios, etc...
- Training
- Schedule and conduct Planisware Orchestra trainings to all user groups; update and enhance Training modules as needed
- Hold weekly office hours and provide general support to internal users
- Implement training for any enhancements/customizations
- Coordinate regular Best Practice meetings with user groups
- Manage the Orchestra Teams site
- Strategy
- Help develop the strategic Orchestra roadmap, own and manage the execution to the Roadmap, and provide regular updates to key stakeholders
- Act as the primary contact to the Planisware Orchestra Customer Engagement representative; work with this contact to scope improvements, gather quotes, prioritize enhancements/customizations, and implement enhancements/customizations
- Support regular Business meetings and report outs (e.g. Program Review, Franchise Meetings, Resource Manager Reviews, etc…) as needed
- Develop a strategy to expand the reach of Orchestra within the organization
- Evaluate process and use case scenarios to provide recommendations or best practice within the Orchestra system
- Other: Support other PDP or PMO tools, including but not limited to MIRO and Project Management Templates
Your qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Business Administration
- Ability to learn quickly and manage multiple priorities
- Cross functional mindset to solve business and technical problems
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong people and process management skills
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
Preferences:
- Computer programming experience (object-oriented preferred)
- A self-starter with a highly developed work ethic
- Working knowledge of database management and/or Linux
- Previous experience in software implementation
- Knowledge of portfolio and/or project management
- Previous experience in Cross-Functional roles
- Previous experience in R&D or related technical development teams
- Medical Device Experience a very strong plus
