Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide an outstanding patient experience by greeting all patients and shoppers as they enter and exit the practice.

• Ensure all patient visits are conducted promptly and smoothly by asking detail-oriented questions to ensure we have obtained all necessary patient forms signed and collected properly.

• Inform and explain to all patients their vision insurance copays and out of pocket expenses prior to pre-testing.

• Ensure accurate collection of patient medical history and conduct pre-testing of all patients.

• Accurately read glasses prescriptions and provide relevant lens recommendations to all patients.

• Ensure patient comfort and satisfaction by adjusting frames to provide the best fit for a patient’s face and replacing old lenses as needed.

• Maintain a professional, team-oriented workplace by working effectively with opticians, medical technicians, and optometrists to provide our patients with the highest level of eye care and service.

• Ensure patient comfort and satisfaction by ensuring the practice is consistently clean, well-kept, presentable, and organized.

Qualifications:

• Must be available to work on Saturdays between 10am and 3pm and aware of limited time-off available during the month of December.

• Prior experience in healthcare or customer service.

• Prior experience working in an optometry practice.

• Basic to Intermediate math skills.

• Ability to handle workplace situations with respect, class, and high standards.

• Strong people skills and comfortable working with a diverse patient base.

• Strong and effective customer and team communication skills.

• Detail-Oriented professional open to learning and receiving/giving constructive feedback.

Education and Experience: Any combination of education and experience that leads to the successful completion of position duties and responsibilities.

Salary, Compensation, and Benefits:

• Starting hourly rate $16-17/hr – final rate based on qualifications verified via a skills test.

• Medical and Dental benefits available upon completion of 3 months of successful full-time employment.

• 56 hours of Paid Time Off upon completion of 6 months of successful full-time employment.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.39 per hour
