Avant-Guarde Health Care and The Foundation Group own and operate an Integrated Long-Term Care Healthcare Organization. Due to an expansion in our Skilled Nursing Home Division, we are looking to add a Regional Business Manage to our Organization. This position requires travel to various assigned Skilled Nursing Home Facilities in the greater Central Missouri Market Area. Overnight travel is anticipated on occasion. All travel and related expenses shall be governed by the consulting office travel policy. The Regional Accountant shall have a domiciliary base as directed by the Accounting Director and President (Central Missouri Region).
Responsibilities
- Assisting facilities with the Collection of Resident Account Receivables.
- Responsible for ensuring that all accounting policies are being followed by facilities.
- Perform audit procedures as required by the DFO.
- Perform Resident Trust Fund and petty cash audit within five (5) working days upon resignation or termination of an administrator or bookkeeper.
- Regional Consultant is responsible for training new bookkeepers and assisting in the hiring of new bookkeepers.
- Perform special audits as requested.
- Perform other types of accounting functions as needed from time to time.
- In the absence of a facility bookkeeper, the Regional Consultant may be requested to perform certain duties normally undertaken by the facility bookkeeper.
- Prepare facility visit reports during each visit to a facility and email those reports to the Accounting Director, A/R Manager, Director of Medicare Billing, Vice President of Operations and facility administrator.
- Assist the facilities in the management and collection of accounts receivable. Reviewing facility aging schedules on a regular basis and addressing issues and/or lack of collections.
- Summarizing monthly facility findings during reviews. Review the findings with administration and send copies of reports to Regional Operations and DFO.
