What are the responsibilities and job description for the Echocardiograph Technologist position at Avant Tech?
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Echocardiograph Technologist to join our cardiology team in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will perform high-quality echocardiographic studies to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
Responsibilities:
- Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), stress echocardiograms, and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE).
- Obtain accurate and detailed images of the heart and related structures.
- Analyze and interpret echocardiographic data.
- Prepare and maintain accurate patient records.
- Operate and maintain echocardiography equipment.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program.
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Proficiency in operating echocardiography equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience with EMR systems.
Oregon Considerations:
- Familiarity with Oregon's healthcare regulations.
- Awareness of the patient demographic within the Portland Oregon area.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with 3D echocardiography.
- Experience with stress echocardiography and TEE.
