What are the responsibilities and job description for the DEI Marketing and Messaging Strategist position at AvantGarde, LLC?
POSITION SUMMARY
The AvantGarde, LLC (AG) DEI Marketing and Messaging Strategist is to work with the USCP Office of Equity and Inclusion (OEI) to establish USCP's comprehensive brand presence and increase consistency of communication across USCP. This position will be remote 3 days and in the office 2 days a week.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Advancing DEI through marketing development and messaging
- Ensuring that outreach efforts, including social media and internet sites, adhere to DEI standards and Department values.
- Creating a DEI marketing handbook that provides advertising, marketing, and branding principles consistent with DEI practices.
- Building partnerships with key internal stakeholders to contribute appropriate DEI practices associated with their marketing, advertising, and branding efforts.
- Developing and implementing an integrated OEI strategic communications plan including strategic communications, branding, and identifying target audiences.
- Writing, updating, editing and overseeing production and design of printed materials.
- Acting as "brand ambassador", ensuring proper and consistent use of naming conventions, brand attributes and logo of OEI
- Preparing photography and other media for publication and maintaining digital media library
- Managing OEI webpage, including maintaining integrity of website content and structure
- Conducting an equity and inclusion audit of bureau and office communication procedures to identify barriers and assess their effectiveness.
- Creating an inclusive language handbook of DEI talking points and effective communication tactics to ensure communication is inclusive, does not create barriers, and is representative of USCP's culture.
