Estimator
Overview: Perform all levels and types of estimating by executing bids accurately and efficiently. This position will help lead to the success of Avanti Window & Doors by producing quality, accurate window estimates to single-family home builders and multi-family builders.
Responsibilities:
- Full comprehension of Avanti Windows & Doors product line
- Review and understand all project bid documents
- Ability to prepare multiple projects concurrentlyAbility to prepare multiple projects concurrently
- Maintain quoting software knowledge and utilize quoting software accurately
- Maintain excellent communication with builders and other critical Avanti departments
- Assists when needed to correct errors on internal estimates or bill of materials to ensure correct order entry
- Assists when required with customer plan/specification errors to correct FeneVision
- Process edits in FeneVision and provide follow up/revision to pending edits
Skills/Knowledge:
- Skilled in prioritization, organization, and time management
- Computer literate and comfortable with spreadsheet and computerized takeoff programs
- Ability to understand project bid documents & window knowledge
- Detail-oriented with drive to accomplish set goals
- Ability to read and comprehended plan blueprints
- Provide superb customer service
- Works collaboratively with Avanti team members and customers
- Enjoys working in fast-paced environment with a high sense of urgency
- Problem solving skills required, willingness to learn
- Seeks out internal experts and utilizes their knowledge
- Adaptable to changing processes and priorities

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn internal software programs and applications such as FeneVision
- Familiarity with iOS is recommended
Education and/or Experience: Must have High School Diploma, GED or prior knowledge of general construction and/or window and door applications or components is desirable but not required.
Computer Skills: Microsoft® Word, Excel and Outlook software applications. Will be expected to develop proficiency in FeneVision (Avanti software) and be/become familiar with Apple iOS.
Pay: $19-$22 per hour depending on experience
Paid weekly and Paid training
